In vrijwel elke schaduwtuin zijn wel enkele Epimedium (Elfenbloem) soorten te vinden. Na enkele jaren uitproberen bleek dat deze meest in het voorjaar bloeiende planten het uitstekend doen in deze tuin. Inmiddels is er een groeiende collectie aanwezig (okt 2025: 80 collectienummers waarvan 32 van de 67 soorten).
Epimedium (Barrenwort. Fairy Wings) proved to be an excellent choice in our forest garden. After a trial period a still expanding collection has been planted (Dec 2025 38 of the 68 species excluding cultivars and artificial hybrids)
